Bonaventure
The museum proper, this historic house was built by Dr. John S. Law in 1862. He was an insurance salesman and his son and business partner, John H. Law, became the first mayor of Loveland. After the Law family, Dr. Frank S. Lever and his family resided in the house until the late 1950s. After that, the building switched hands between several groups including the Cincinnati Automobile Club and the American Legion, ultimately becoming the museum as the Greater Loveland Historical Society purchased the property in 1984.
